Writer/Director: Lily Hayes Kaufman is a NYC based filmmaker. She writes and directs digital videos for Pitchslap.tv/Saturday Candy Films, a digital production company she founded with her sister. She is thrilled to have worked for working for the writer/director Ted Melfi on his Bill Murray film ‘St. Vincent’ (2014.) She has also worked for the writers Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky, and assisted the producer Jim Chory on the NBC show 'SMASH.' Prior to film, Lily Hayes sold her soul to the devil (an investment bank) to pay her way through grad school. In return she slaved for six years developing commodity investment strategies for institutional investors. Lily Hayes has a nasty addiction to anything made out of sugar.
Producer: Jackie Schwartz. In her daily life, Jackie is the Speakers' Bureau Coordinator at the UJA-Federation of New York. She previously worked as an Associate Producer at Fully Branded Media, collaborating in the production of films such as: ‘The Romantics,’ ‘Margin Call’ and ‘Kill Your Darlings.’ Jackie is a plus size woman living in NYC. She is working on her memoir: I only came for the food.
Producer - Pat Kaufman is a Producer at Saturday Candy Films, and the former NYS film commissioner and past president of the Association of Film Commissioners International. Kaufman has been Recognized by Variety on the 2013 the Gotham 50 revitalizing NY's show biz legacy and the 2005 Women's Impact List. She was also awarded the 2010 NYWIFT Muse Award.
Director of Photography / Producer- Charlotte Kaufman is the co-founder of Pitchslap (pitchslap.tv) a video production company specializing in Impact Producing and branded videos. Charlotte produces, directs and films videos that tell stories, reach audiences, and inspire action. Her documentary experience also includes working with the oscar-winning documentary production house, Jigsaw Productions. Charlotte speaks fluent Arabic, and worked as a media specialist for the Boston Consulting Group on projects across the Middle East.
Camera - Jay Kidd writes, produces, and photographs narrative film. His work includes episodic television (White Collar, Smash), miniseries (History Channel's The Men Who Built America), webisode (The Onion News Network), and countless feature films, shorts, and music videos. He currently works at Panavision New York.
Editor - Sharon Perlman is thrilled to be a part of Rare Birds of Fashion. She has worked as an assistant editor on a variety of projects for film, television and the web including Spotlight on Broadway, a 40 part series of short documentaries that trace the history of each Broadway theater, and most recently, the feature film 'St. Vincent' starring Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy. She is currently working on the upcoming Woody Allen film. Sharon lives in New York with her husband Justin and their cat Briscoe.
Editor - Editor David O. Rogers is an editor, film maker, and musician. He’s worked on big and small movies as an assistant editor, has written and directed award winning short films, and edited on others. A life-long musician, David’s music has recently been licensed for movies.
Composer - Along with playing in the band Sidewalk Atlas, lead singer and songwriter, Danny Greene is an experienced soundtrack composer. Specializing in creating soundtrack pieces that breath life into the characters and story.
Music - Washington, DC-based Olivia Mancini is a songwriting powerhouse, stretching musical boundaries across several genres. She has been touring the U.S. and Europe for more than 10 years, performing her original songs as a singer-songwriter, or with her bands, Olivia & the Mates and Astra Via. Olivia has performed with top acts like The Hold Steady, STARS, Matthew Sweet, and Melissa Ferrick. Trailer Editor - Caleb is from Gloucester, Massachusetts, then spent about a decade in Providence, Rhode Island and has been living in the Los Angeles area since 2007. He directed the feature films “Die You Zombie Bastards!!” (2005) and “Frankie in Blunderland” (2011) as well as 2 episodes of the Geek & Sundry series "Written by a Kid” and most recently a segment for the upcoming anthology film "Grindsploitation: The Movie!". He has been an editor on the Comedy Central show Tosh.0 since 2010 and regularly appears in bits as an actor as well. He was also an editor (and Guest Star & Writer) on the Vh1 reality show "Scream Queens". He has been involved with numerous projects with Troma Entertainment starting with "Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part 4” and and was the Assistant Director and one of the stars of Troma's "Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead”
Wardrobe - Christina Hribar. A native New Yorker, Christina has had fashion in her blood since day one. Her mother, a former Senior Editor at Women’s Wear Daily and W magazine, would often let her play dress-up in her closet which was filled with spoils from her career. About age 8, Christina began dressing her friends, and they still depend on her for help. After majoring in Art History at Trinity College in Hartford, CT, Christina began working in public relations, working on campaigns for Maybelline and Garnier before switching to the career she always imagined for herself: costume design. Over the years Christina has worked on such films as Julie and Julia, Salt, and Kill Your Darlings as well as television series ranging from three seasons on House of Cards, Blue Bloods, and Hand of God. She splits her time between Brooklyn, NY, Sag Harbor, NY and Venice, CA.
